The story of Cesare Pallo - Financial Consultant | Banca Generali

I joined Private because I already knew some people who were part of it. Talking to them, I immediately sensed something different: not superficial enthusiasm, but real satisfaction. When I was offered this experience, I accepted without much hesitation.

I come from Saluzzo and choosing to go to Turin means traveling a longer distance. Apparently, it's not a very rational choice, especially when you could stay in your area. In reality, it was this very distance that convinced me. Stepping out of my usual context allowed me to broaden my horizons and interact with people I wouldn't have met by staying put. Joining a group still under construction made the experience even more interesting: I didn't know many people, and this turned every meeting into a discovery.

I work as a financial consultant and deal with wealth management. In my field, peer comparison already exists, but here I found something different. The greatest value comes from dialogue with professionals and entrepreneurs who work in fields far from mine. It's from external perspectives that the most useful stimuli often come, those that help you see aspects of your work that you would take for granted on your own.

Every meeting in the community leaves me with something. Not always an answer, sometimes a new question, other times a simple observation that opens up a different viewpoint. What truly makes the difference is the multiplicity of feedback: listening to more people, with different experiences and sensitivities, creates a level of comparison that is difficult to achieve alone.

One of the feedbacks that struck me the most concerns my professional story. My business started in the eighties with my father. We worked together, and when he retired, my sister took over. It's a family business. I have always told this aspect naturally, without fully realizing how distinctive it was. Thanks to the comparison, I understood that for clients it represents an important value: we work with families and, in a sense, we are a family for families. Today, this element has become a conscious part of our mission and our way of presenting ourselves.

Private is also a place where I find dynamics very similar to those of my daily work. Trust is at the core of everything. Without trust, there is no relationship, neither with clients nor within a community. Here there is no control, but respect for shared rules and implicit agreements that make authentic comparison possible.

Another aspect I consider central is the attention to listening. Being present does not automatically mean listening. Active listening is a skill that needs to be trained, and this journey helps me do it with greater awareness. I experience it as a gym: here I train, then every day I take the field in my work.

The work on monthly goals is also part of this training. Writing them, declaring them, and revisiting them means taking responsibility. Not so much towards others, but towards oneself. Even when a goal is not achieved, the comparison helps to understand what happened and to turn an obstacle into a starting point.

The meetings are not moments of relaxation, but of concentration. They are spaces where the phone is turned off, and attention is turned on. I consider them moments of recharge: I stop, organize, and restart with greater clarity. It's a benefit that affects not only me but also the people I work with.

I have been in Private for a few months, but I have realized that change does not necessarily require years. Sometimes all it takes is one meeting, one month, one small goal pursued with consistency. The difference is made by how willing you are to challenge yourself.

For me, Private is not a course that ends. It is a journey that continues over time, as long as you decide to stay. A place of training, comparison, and constant growth. And every time I travel a little further, I know I am finding more value.
